# Data Sovereignty Issues

As smart devices become more intelligent and deeply embedded in our lives, we constantly provide personal data to companies or organizations without our knowledge and receive various services in return. Of course, most services are provided to companies through 'Consent to use of Personal Information' in advance, but providing personal data to companies makes people feel anxious that their behavior will be monitored or privacy will be violated due to information leakage.

In addition, due to provisions such as a provision to a third party, the problem of personal data being provided or used where the user's will be irrelevant is also becoming increasingly serious. Of course, legal regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Act may require companies or organizations that handle personal data to protect personal information, but if a system is established that the individual who produced the data directly manages and provides the data itself, the existing system will be A more fair and efficient data management and exchange that could not be provided may become possible.

Such protection of data sovereignty is the core keyword of Web 3.0, and the success of Web 3.0 depends on how effectively it protects data sovereignty.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://ontactprotocol-team.gitbook.io/ontactprotocol_en/challenges-in-existing-iot-market/data-sovereignty-issues.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
